Overview:

Research data management (RDM) refers to the handling, storage, curation, preservation and provision of continuing access to analogue and digital research data. While the nature of the data that might be collected for a research project might be varied - even within a project - good data management skills are essential in all cases.

To promote good practice at every stage of the research lifecycle, the Library has created a collection of online resources and webinars to provide practical advice and guidance with collecting, storing, retrieving and preserving your data.

This short webinar session will focus on the importance of keeping your data safe.

Research Active Staff (staff on Research-focussed, Teaching-focussed and Research and Teaching contracts) and Postgraduate Researchers.

Workshop Pre-work:
This webinar will provide particpants with an opportunity to discuss the issues covered in the Research Data Management and Planning Moodle course and consider how these impact on their own research practices. In order to fully participate you will be encouraged to engage with the relevant section(s) of the online course prior to the webinar. A link to any recommended reading will be circulated at least one week in advance.
